We are Getting There

Sometimes I think we all just need a little inspiration to help keep us going. If you read James Ducket’s post yesterday, then you know as writers we have ups and downs. Most of the time the downs are deep and dark and discouraging. But also like James hinted at: it always geq1ts darkest before it gets light. Remember it’s not about what is on the other side that matters. Like one of my favorite song says, “it’s all about the climb.” Here are some inspiring quotes I hope can help you in your times of discouragement.

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain.” ~Dolly Parton

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your dreams. Small people always do that, but the really great ones make you feel that you too, can become great.” ~Mark Twain

“Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.” ~Stephen Kingkurt-vonnegut-quote1

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt

“Books aren’t written—they’re rewritten. Including your own! It is one of the hardest things to accept, especially after the seventh rewrite hasn’t quite done it.” ~Michael Crichton

“When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” ~Helen Keller

“The heights by great men reached and kept were not obtained by sudden flight. But they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.” ~Thomas S. Monsonjack-london-quote-inspiration

“There’s always going to be another mountain. I’m always going to want to make it move. Always going to be an uphill battle. Sometimes I’m going to have to lose. It’s not about how fast I get there. It’s not about what’s waiting on the other side…It’s the climb.” ~ Jessi Alexander (made popular by Miley Cyrus) Listen to: The Climb

I hope you have found a little inspiration today. Keep climbing, keep fighting, keep reaching for you dreams! Happy Writing!!
